Services for Patrons with Disabilities: Fine Arts Library

Staff Assistance
Fine Arts Library staff is available at the following location to provide information and assistance as needed to all patrons:

Building Entrances
The Fine Arts Library is located on the 2nd floor of Tappan Hall. Wheelchair access to Tappan Hall is available via the east entrance.

Elevators
There is an elevator on the east side of the building that is available for access to the lower level stacks and the 2nd floor during hours of library operation.

Computers
There are computer workstations on the 2nd floor that are wheelchair-accessible. Staff is available to assist users as needed in accessing these computers.

Navigating the Stacks
The stacks are generally not wheelchair accessible but library staff will retrieve materials from the shelves for patrons who cannot access items in the stacks.

Study Space
There are study areas accessible to patrons in wheelchairs on the 2nd floor.

Restrooms
Restrooms equipped with stalls and fixtures designed for wheelchair access are located as follows:

Handicapped Parking Areas
Public Handicapped-designated parking spaces are located near Tappan Hall, on South University Street and Tappan Street.

647-FAST
By arrangement with the Office of Services for Students with Disabilities, patrons with disabilities may use the Library's 647-FAST pull and copy service for a nominal photocopying fee. For further information, contact the Office for Students with Disabilities, Rm. G625 Haven Hall, 734/763-3000.
